Work in Progress – Residency Im_Flieger – ECHORAUM April 2023

This works takes inspiration in traditional songs and murder ballads from Corsica, Ukraine and Poland. These archetypical songs are disassembled into fragments and re-composed through the prism of minimal progressive methods of composition. 

By using repetition as a filter, patterns appear and are processed until they reach a point of abstraction. 

This system allow us to shift the focus between content and form, creating a fertile and ambiguous tension in the progression of each story.
